River trekking

Discover the unseen beauty of nature through river trekking

River trekking is a challenging but rewarding activity where you walk, swim and climb through rivers and canyons.

It allows you to discover the pristine beauty of nature in a way that few other activities can. As you trek through water and rocks, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife you would otherwise never see.

River trekking is an excellent way to push your limits and connect with nature. A perfect activity for a hot summer day!

River trekking as a family activity

River trekking is a great activity for the whole family. It exposes children to nature and teaches them to deal with challenges and obstacles. It can also help boost children’s confidence and help them push their limits.

River trekking is a great way to spend quality time with your family and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Our guides

Our local guides have years of experience guiding groups and know the place like no other. They naturally guarantee that the safety of the participants comes first.

Tugar organises river treks in the Arouca Geopark, the Vale do Vouga and Ribeira da Pena. The river treks are accessible to beginners and children.
